For a solid week now we have seen different exploits of the Internet Explorer browser which has prompted some security experts to “suggest” other alternatives such as Mozilla and Opera. So this raises the question, does IE put the computing public at risk? Yes, it does. Does this mean that people should switch? No it doesnt. This should teach people several lessons. Use a good pop-up blocker, the Google, MSN and Netscape toolbars offer good pop-up blockers in their toolbar offerings. Users should be more security savvt. Microsoft has offered a patch to fixx this vulnerabilty so update your IE installation. I personally think that the Mozilla foundation and some of these other groups are using this “IE puts homeland security at risk” shit too freely to serve their own means.
