Friends, Countrymen, lend me you ears. Do not ever use, Norton or McAfee Personal firewalls. If you do you will be hacked. I can certainly almost guarantee it. The secret is these firewalls are the most common and every hacker in his right mind from the script kiddies to hackers like Kevin Mitnick know how to circumvent these firewalls. If you want a decent firewall that does its job get either ZoneAlarm or Sygate Personal Firewall, or if you have knowledge of OpenBSD you can use that as well. Norton and McAfee dont update their firewall technology anywhere near enough to circumvent the most sophisticated attacks. Using Norton or McAfee is like walking through a Minefield blindfolded. So, just go ahead and post your sensitive data on Slashdot if you continue to use them. Happy surfing.
