What a load of crap, This is Brazils decision, not the free software foundation. I love the fact that most free software advocates talk about choice and letting the public choose the best technology for their needs, yet they want to exclude Microsoft from the process in Brazil. I like the original idea, let the people choose what they want whether it be Microsoft or Linux and Open Source. Besides you can run Open Source software on Windows and you can develop Open Source software on Windows, how many people do you think that get a hold of these machines are going to be interested in kernel and OS development? I guarantee practically zero. To the free software advocates in the administration down there I will say this, let your people choose, dont be so hypocritical because by excluding Microsoft and only going with Linux you are doing nothing but trying to force your views on your own people. Some choice.
