Nice article but thers one thing Steve doesnt acknowledge. I dont want to run 64 but Linux, I want to run 64 Bit Windows. To answer the question:

To which would you rather entrust your business?

64 Bit Windows or 64 Bit Linux, hmmmmmmmm the choices. How about neither, I would rather trust Solaris on Sparc or opteron. I have used 64 Bit Linux and it blows right now, Im willing to give MS a chance with Windows.

“Besides, if you run open-source software, it’s a relatively simple task to port the program to Linux, whereas porting proprietary, 32-bit Windows applications to 64-bit Windows is a job that only ISVs should attempt.”

Its been done, it only took 4 hrs to come off with something usable, 2 days if you extensively test it.
