Add-on PlayStation 3 HDD will run Linux

I have always thought that porting computer Operating Systems to a Gaming console is like those idiots that ported Linux to the iPod, a fundamentally stupid thing to do. You cant upgrade the damn thing but yet it appears that Sony will do just that with the PS3. They will sell hard drives for the PS3 that will run Linux. I doubt you will see any business or many consumers aside from Microsoft haters who will use the PS3 as a general purpose computer. Oh well, Sony enjoy the 50 or so HDD’s that you will sell.
