Microsoft embraces RSS June 25, 2005

Microsoft has some extensive plans for RSS. Looks really cool. I like the integration of RSS and IE7 but I already have these capabilities with Netscape 8 and Safari. What Microsoft is doing is integrating it into the entiure platform and they are putting their RSS extensions and placing them under the Creative Commons Share alike ith Attributions license. Im fully expecting Richard Stallman to next week come up with some excuse as to Microsofts extensions cannot be used in GPL products and Dave Rachiver from Public Patent Foundation aka Anti-Microsoft Patent Foundation (more on that later) to tell developers and users that we dont need to comply with the license.
