What Microsoft can learn from the past ie..Why I like Windows 2000 so damn much September 8, 2005

One thing Microsoft has undoubtedly done right was the engineering of the Windows 2000 OS. On speed, reliability and security you cant beat it. I have two workstations, one Windows 2000 machine and a Windows XP machine at work and one thing I know for certain, that Windows 2000 machine will work and will boot properly. the same cannot be said for Windows XP. When it boots up and that blue bar keeps going and going and going the thought always goes through the ol noggin. Is this thing gonna boot right? If Microsoft can produce that type of quality with Windows Vista, wonderful. if not, i wont be replacing my Windows 2000 worstations and servers for a very long time.
