Sun DRM finds a home in Korean IPTV pilot April 15, 2006

Looks like Sun found a sucker customer who believes in its Open Source DRM strategies. I have long held that since Suns DRM is Open Source it will be very easy to crack. Looks like availability and popularity of the product will prove if I am right or wrong. We shall see. Anyway its an Open Source project but since most Open Source advocates and the upcoming GPL v 3 dont like DRM, it will be interesting to see how adoption goes and with those two factors I doubt they have a large amount of outside help from the Open Source community itself
