WGA kill switch denied by Microsoft July 2, 2006Posted by rjdohnert in Tech News.
Microsofthas now said that WGA will not be used as a killswitch to turn off pirated copies of Windows. But the software is necessary in their fight against pirates. A Microsoft spokesman also claims that 80% of validation falures come from invalid or pirated keys. That number seems really high to me. The article also talks about Microsoft locking down the VLK licenses.
My Take; I will wait for the fall before I comment.
