WGA kill switch denied by Microsoft July 2, 2006

Microsofthas now said that WGA will not be used as a killswitch to turn off pirated copies of Windows.  But the software is necessary in their fight against pirates.  A Microsoft spokesman also claims that 80% of validation falures come from invalid or pirated keys.  That number seems really high to me.  The article also talks about Microsoft locking down the VLK licenses.
