If video games kill, what about the Bible? March 21, 2005

Very good editorial, on News.com. Personally Im against them killing off violent computer games. Personally I love them and I wouldnt have anything else to express myself. They allow me to indulge my darker side without having to go out here and actually do it. Think about it, GTA I can kill cops and hookers without leaving the comfort of my Lay-z-boy. I think they need stronger checks to keep it out of the hands of minors, but for adults, F-it, we can play whatever we want.

MIT Backs Brazil’s Free Software over Microsoft March 17, 2005

What a load of crap, This is Brazils decision, not the free software foundation. I love the fact that most free software advocates talk about choice and letting the public choose the best technology for their needs, yet they want to exclude Microsoft from the process in Brazil. I like the original idea, let the people choose what they want whether it be Microsoft or Linux and Open Source. Besides you can run Open Source software on Windows and you can develop Open Source software on Windows, how many people do you think that get a hold of these machines are going to be interested in kernel and OS development? I guarantee practically zero. To the free software advocates in the administration down there I will say this, let your people choose, dont be so hypocritical because by excluding Microsoft and only going with Linux you are doing nothing but trying to force your views on your own people. Some choice.

Linspire five-0 as Robertson and his crew call it, has been released to the general public. Its easier to maintain, easier to use and it should be a pretty decent release as it has many improvements to wireless networking and more hardware is supported.

Wait for a proof of concept right now it siounds interesting but I personally dont see how? Especially with neil Diamond lyrics? I might say mom and dad, maybe even the grandparents may be in trouble but I dont see it elsewhere. Now if it was Brittany Spears, they may be in trouble.

Microsoft to kill MSN for the Mac March 12, 2005

Microsoft is going to kill MSN for the Mac. Lack of subscribers and such which makes sense. Most mac users detest anything from Microsoft, with the exception of Word, and Apple bundles the Eartlink Software for the Mac so I dont think this will sting Microsoft too much. Who knows maybe Apple will buy out Earthlink and create their own ISP. They could even give away a Mac mini or a iPod to the first hundred subscribers.

Interesting editorial from a Eugenia on OSNews. I like Eugenia and while most people thinks she plays favorites I strongly disagree, I have seen her criticize Microsoft as well as Apple before. I find her unbiased.

I very much agree with this ruling its one thing to find and inform the public of a possible flaw. Its an entirely different thing for a person to publish code and programs that exploit that flaw. Personally, I hope the US follows in this. Punish people who publish exploit code.
